    Uptown Real Estate

    Charlotte Center City is known as “Uptown”.  This is the central area of Charlotte, North Carolina.  It is split into four neighborhoods, or Wards, by the intersection of Trade and Tryon Streets.  Situated in between the boundaries of I-277, more than 25,000 people call this area home.   First Ward, Second Ward, Third Ward and Fourth Ward.  The Fourth Ward is mostly residential.  All of the Wards offer entertainment, restaurants and points of interest in the Center City.

    Several Fortune 500 companies have headquarters in Uptown, to name a few; Bank of America, Duke Energy and Wells Fargo.  The Panthers play at Bank of America Stadium, and the Hornets play at the Spectrum Center.  Newly added is the Charlotte Knights playing at BB&T Ballpark.  Museums, theaters, hotels, high-density residential developments, restaurants, and bars are heavily concentrated in the Center City, with over 214 restaurants and 50 nightspots.
