Get your yard ready for summer with these 5 steps

    Pollen is in the air and you’re seeing it all over your car and your outdoor furniture. That can only mean one thing… Spring is here!

    We know you’ll be getting your lawns and flower beds ready for summer fun. So, here are a few tips and tricks for getting your yard in tip top shape for summer:

    1. Clear out the clutter!

    Remove any debris, leaves, and twigs from your yard and beds.

    2. Fertilize- And add a weed killer to protect those flowers you’re about to plant.

    3. Attention to detail. Do you prefer mulch or pinestraw? It’s a personal preference. Either way, now’s the time to pick out a good heavy mulch or spread those pinestraw needles.

    4. Sharpen your mower blades and get to mowing.

    If it’s been a while, you might want to consider having your lawn mower blades sharpened so you get the best cut possible for your grass. Experts also suggest that you cut your grass when your yard is dry.

    5. Don’t seed until the fall.
